Stripchat has introduced Magic Search, a discovery tool that lets users search for cam rooms using their own custom descriptions instead of relying on fixed categories. The feature supports more than 50 languages and has already processed over two million queries since it entered beta in February.

How It Works

Rather than browsing pre-set tags, users can type a specific description — a physical trait, a vibe, an activity — and Magic Search will surface matching live rooms. The platform says this is powered by computer vision technology that analyzes what's actually happening in public broadcasts in real time, making rooms searchable even when nothing about them fits a standard category label.

With Stripchat citing more than 150,000 models streaming on the platform each month, the tool is designed to help niche searches surface relevant rooms in a catalog that size, rather than requiring users to scroll through broad category listings.

Why Stripchat Built It

The company frames Magic Search as a step toward more intuitive discovery on the platform — letting users describe what they're looking for in plain language rather than filtering through menus. Stripchat has also positioned the tool as a way to help models with more specific or niche content get matched with viewers actively searching for exactly that, rather than depending solely on traditional category browsing to be found.

What It Means for Users and Models

For viewers, the update effectively turns natural-language search into a browsing method, which could cut down time spent scanning categories to find a specific type of room. For models, it opens another path to visibility that isn't dependent on which existing category their content happens to fit into.
